When did glamping vacations start? A well thought out idea like nomadic comfort must have come from a woman.
In fact, the Queen of Sheba is reported to have brought all her riches with her to show off to Solomon. I imagine her tents were filled with rugs, and couches and pillows of silk.
Before I met my husband I had been camping exactly once. My family did not camp. We did not know people who camped. We were perfectly happy with the Holiday Inn.
My proficient husband is the master camper. Give him a tarp, buck knife and a piece of flint and he is set.
That is why I am so excited about Glampinghub.com. Glamping stands for Glamor Camping. Comfort and nature, bugs and bathrooms, tents and tablecloths; all the items you need to enjoy your time outside gracefully.
Sorry Honey, the bare bones camping is not going to keep us married!
Personal Glamping Vacation Adventure by Jessica
To find out more I talked with Jessica Amrstrong, Head of Public Relations and Partnerships for Glampinghub.com a booking service glamping vacations.
Jessica met the founder of the Glamping Hub blog while teaching in Spain. What started out as a blog about unusual places to stay in fantastic locations turned into a booking agency for the luxury-loving camper!
Jessica recently returned from her stay in a Tree House Cabin in Julian, California. Tucked away among the trees this tree house gives you the feel of being all alone. Overlooking a beautiful lake this luxury lodging is as from the trap and sleeping bag style camping as possible. Only pictures can tell the real story.
The team that Jessica works with is diverse. Ten nationalities and languages are represented. Glampinghub.com handles Glamping Vacations in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and Africa. Just looking at the site will have you saving your pennies to visit a bell tent in Tanzania.
My Present Personal Favorites: A Space Pod in Argentina & A Tent in Kenya
Located on a winery in Lujan de Cuyo, Medoza Argentina this breathtaking pod located above the vineyards offers it all!
Glampers can experience a stay like no other at this stilted pod near Mendoza. It floats in the air above the vines of the on-site winery producing exquisite Argentine Malbecs, offering a cocoon nestling guests between land and sky. There is a bathtub on the terrace with views of the Andes, and a window in the roof promising guests stargazing in the clear skies of Argentina’s west.
Pictures are the only way to explain the natural beauty of this location.
Inside the Ultra Modern Pod.
Outdoor dining under the stars.
Stateside there is a fascinating greenhouse in Oregon that catches its own rainwater. As lush as a jungle inside with 365 views from all levels.
A front row seat on the plains in Kenya. Certainly, a love story waiting to be told. These canvas tents with hardwood floor and plush linens are a childhood fantasy of mine.
Glalmpinghub.com makes gift giving easy too. Great for weddings, graduation, and a family travel fund started at Christmas.
