One of my favorite projects each year is the book we do benefitting a different organization. Last year, we worked on a book together called the Mom Quilt. The proceeds from the book went to build a well in Kenya for the Mercy House. This provided not only clean drinking water for the organization, but also a chance for them to have a business that will last for years to come. See first look photos of the well here.
This year, writers, authors and moms came together to share their beautiful stories in a book called the Mom Village. This time, the organization being supported by the book is Agape In Action. 100% of the money raised from this ebook will go to Guatemala. Each author, editor, compiler, and designer worked for free in order to make the book available in a way that allows all the funds to go straight to the organization we are supporting.
When you click “buy” you’ll see that the book is available for 9.99, if you’d like to donate more towards the Mom Village project, you can adjust the cart however you’d like, and the full amount will go to Guatemala.
This year we’re supporting Agape in Action. A ministry that works in Quiche, Guatemala. My husband got to see one of the clinics first hand this year when he went down to serve as a translator for a group that was visiting.
While there are multiple aspects to Agape in Action and their work in Guatemala, the project we will be focusing on is their medical clinics. They go to 20+ locations around Quiche each month to do a medical clinic with people in different rural villages.
Agape does around 21 clinics each month in different villages across Quiche, Guatemala as you can see in the map above.
The cost per clinic ends up being around $351 – or, $7,371 a month. Our first goal is to fund 10 clinics by the new year. But we can continue building on that to fun an entire location or more!
As books are sold I will update this image to reflect the sales and how much as been raised to date.

The mom village book is a beautiful compilation of stories from moms who shared how their “village” has affected them through their years of parenting. It was so special to see how each person saw things differently. It will encourage your heart as you read!
I love reading the stories and seeing how different they all are, and yet there are themes that are similar and bring us all together.
We are so thankful for the chance to share these stories with you and this project that supports some of the beautiful villages in Guatemala.

Then a cold snowy January brought clarity. As my whole life spun out of control I accepted the truth. I had never been in control anyway.
