Be your own boss. Sounds good huh? It is good, really good, most days.
As I send my kids off to school I have a plan, not to get distracted. To create! All day! At the end of the day, I want to feel like a famous painter, writer, dancer, or producer leaving their studio at 4 P.M. with a stretch, a yawn and thinking to myself it is good to be me!
Some days being your own boss actually go like this, really!–others not so much.
I am accosted by technical issues (WordPress plugins, email failures).
My child forgets something for school (lunch, gym shoes, school assignment)and off I go.
The outside world barges in with phone calls and must handle now emergencies. (health insurance, heaters, cars)
None of this is on my schedule. I don’t have time for this! When will I get my work done.

You’ve got this already. If you don’t use a calendar, start planning your day with one and see how well you already manage your time.
#4 Networking Skills–Meeting other mom’s for play-dates, socializing at school, church, community functions, and volunteering all of these events are just networking.
Working from home may mean you do this professionally via computer with women all over the world; but hey, you got this! You already know how to introduce yourself, ask a few good questions and listen quietly to another person, right?
#5 Passion and Focus–Remember that time, when you were 8,9, or10 and all you wanted was the Barbie Dream House, a bike with tassels or a pony. You dreamed about it, drew pictures of it, begged your parents for it.
That is passion and focus. Take that 8 year old by the hand and tell her now she can dream and develop a business and a life she will love. Set her free to follow the butterflies and watch what happens. Failure is how we develop greatness. So get going, you can do this!
